1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup soy sauce or gluten free alternative
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1/4 cup dark brown sugar packed
1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
4 cloves garlic minced or pressed
1 1/2 pounds raw boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 head broccoli cut into florets
1 cup long grain rice
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 . Whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame seed oil, and garlic cloves.
2 . Pour half of the sauce into a greased crockpot. Place chicken breasts in and then pour the remaining sauce over the chicken.
3 – Cook on low for 4 hours, covered.
4 . Mix together cornstarch and water and stir it into the crockpot.
5 . Stir in broccoli florets.
6 . Cook on high for 1 hour, covered.
7 . Remove the chicken, cut into large chunks, and place back in the crockpot.
8 . Serve immediately over rice!
